WHOOOPEY!!! YAHOO!!! Have you noticed that two of our three speedminders are back and working. YES!! I said working. (and I am sure it is due to the hard work from Mary Poole and General Services for Citrus Heights - special thanks!)
LOCATIONS: One Speedminder is on Twin Oaks Blvd just off Sunrise Blvd. .... it is located on the pole on Twin Oaks Blvd and Victory. Check it out.
The other working Speedminder is on a pole on Mariposa Ave at Walnut. You will see it going south on Mariposa - turning on Mariposa off Twin Oaks, it is just before Mariposa Elementary School..........
Our third one on Twin Oaks Blvd., turning off Auburn Blvd, going east. This one is still being worked on and is not functional yet, but hopefully soon. Let me know if you see it up and running.
Watch that speed............ remember all the children, and our wandering "herds" of turkeys, lots of people walking and others on bikes....... Please drive the speed limit, Be a good role model..
Please remember that the speed limit on any of our streets within the neighborhood is 25 miles per hour. We do have a problem on Twin Oaks Blvd especially because it is a 'cut through' from Auburn Blvd to Sunrise Blvd and back again. So residents need to show the way to the people that are cutting through- they need to remember this is a neighborhood, with family's and lots of children and we want everyone to be safe. PLEASE DRIVE 25. You be the role model maybe it might rub off.
We still have some lawn signs for reminding drivers they need to obey the speed laws. If you would like one for your lawn please feel free to contact me. slbenward@comcast.net
Neighborhood 6 of 11....located in the newest city in California -Citrus Heights- we are located just northeast of Sacramento... I try to keep you informed and help you to learn about the Neighborhood, the City, its services & activities. Our boundaries are: Placer/Sacramento County line, south on Sunrise Blvd, west on Old Auburn Blvd & north on Auburn Blvd...
