FREE Preservation of Family Photographs and Records Workshop

The Citrus Heights History and Arts Commission is offering a FREE one day basic archives workshop for the community to learn how to properly care for family photographs and records. The class will be instructed by Teena Stern and Laren Metzer.

Teena Stern is an archival and historical consultant with over thirty years of experience in the profession. Currently, she is chair of the History and Arts Commission of the City of Citrus Heights and Vice President of the local historical society. Laren Metzer is currently the Deputy State Archivist for the California State Archives and has thirty years of working in the profession and a wealth of teaching and writing experience.

The Preservation of Family Records and Photographs Workshop will be held at the Citrus Heights Civic Center Complex, located at 6237 Fountain Square Drive, in Trellis Hall on May 25, 2011, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Space is limited and reservations will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
