HUGE YARD SALE!!! -- this weekend- actually it has already started!!!

Looking to help out in the community. Here is an opportunity to find treasures for yourself and help the Citrus Heights Community Marching Band at the same time. They are raising funds to buy their fall performances uniform.  
FYI: Fall performances consist of San Juan High School Homecoming and Mesa Verde Homecoming during half time. These are only two on many appearances for this in demand Marching Band. Let's get out and help support their efforts. (and you never know what goodies you will find at the yard sale)


When:June 17th ,18th and 19th 
NOTE: maybe the sale will continue on June 24th and 26th depending on how much is left to sell or more treasures are donated after this weekend has ended - so if this weekend isn't good for you maybe the next weekend is better.

Where: THE COOKS YARD: 7620 Linden Ave, Citrus Heights, California 

TIME: 8am to 5pm

2nd Annual Pet-a-Palooza ??????????

2nd Annual Pet-a-Palooza event that is taking place at Rusch Park(7801 Auburn Blvd) , Citrus Heights on Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 10am - 4pm. This event is fun for the entire family (including pets) and is free to the general public. There will be live music, dog performances, animal adoptions, activities for the kids, and much more! Thank you for your interest in Citrus Heights!

Hosted by CBS Radio and presented by Bell Brothers & WiseBuys, Pet-a-Palooza celebrates our love affair with pets with a day in the park where you can bring your dog & listen to live music. PLUS, you can eat, shop, enjoy a number of animal exhibitors & exhibitions...you can even adopt a new pet!

Citrus Heights "Family Campout"

Citrus Heights Community Family Campout is July 9th and 10th at Rusch Park, Citrus  Heights.         

What a great opportunity to spend some fun time with your family, campout and enjoy some planned activities.

It is only $30 for a family of 5.  Swimming, games and prizes, BBQ dinner on Saturday evening prepared by City Council, City Staff, & Neighborhood volunteers; Campfire with entertainment & of course Smores

.... plus Sunday Campinella breakfast with pancakes as prepared by Jayna Karpinski-Costa and her husband, Ted.

SMUD Rate Restructuring Workshop rescheduled to June 30

Just want to pass this information on to you ....   the SMUD Rate Restructuring workshop originally scheduled for Thursday, June 16 at the SMUD Headquarters has been rescheduled.


The new workshop date is as follows:


Thursday, June 30 @ 6:00 PM

SMUD Headquarters Auditorium

6201 S Street, Sacramento, CA


This workshop will be open to the public.

Citrus Heights Red White and Blue Parade!!! YIPPPPPEY!!

Are we going to see you at the Parade? We will wave to you as we go by OR did you want to walk/ride with us? You are always welcome.

What: 12th Annual Red White & Blue Parade 
                "American Pride"
Date: Saturday, June 25th
Parade Start Time 9am
Location: Sunrise Blvd, Citrus Heights ......... parade route: north of Madison at Uplands Way to Sunrise Mall parking lot at Greenback

NOTE: The parade is sponsored by the City of Citrus Heights and is coordinated by a committee of community volunteers. Come out to celebrate your patriotic spirit in Citrus Heights!!

Lots of great family fun.......... floats, vintage cars, clowns, marching bands, live animals, clowns and more.......

Take note that from 9:30 to 12noon, a Pancake Brunch will be available in the Sunrise Mall parking lot where the parade ends. This event is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Citrus Heights. $5 per ticket. I don't think you will be disappointed.

And the floats will be on display after the parade in the Sunrise Mall parking lot. There usually will be lots of other activities going on .......  bring the family and enjoy all the activities!!!
