Citrus Heights - Coolest City in California!! Challenge

What is the challenge? The CoolCalifornia Challenge is a fun, innovative competition between ten California cities to reduce their community-wide carbon footprints and build more vibrant and sustainable communities.

The program is a year long challenge, which begins April 1, 2012 and concludes March 31, 2013. You will build on the months, points will increase. We need you to sign up NOW.

I have put the up-to-date rankings of where Citrus Heights is in this challenge of being the "Coolest City in California" .....  I have to say that a couple of days ago we were 5th now we have slipped to 6th.

I know the population of Citrus Heights is more than 121 family's. I do know that the population in 2011 was 83,700. Where are you all? Are we going to let Davis, Sacramento, Tracy, Pleasanton and Chula Vista beat us out.........  I hope not!!

It is an easy process, first go and read about it at Citrus Heights website, now you can click on the Coolest City Challenge link there or go directly here Coolest City Challenge. On this page you will see two large buttons.......  one is SCOREBOARD and that is where you will see the Rankings that I have listed below, the other button is SIGN IN. So sign in now.

This is a big surprise to Chuck and I (but an exciting surprise)  the Benward Home is listed as #2 of the 121 families in Citrus Heights. (3591 TOTAL POINTS EARNED SO FAR - 1668 in green points, 1823 in bonus points & 100 Kudo Points) WOW, isn't this amazing but who is #1? We want to rise above them. I am sure that there are lots of other families that do as much if not more than we do ........  where are you? We need you to sign up and take on the challenge. (you will need to have your PG&E & SMUD bills handy but don't just start at the most current bills - FIRST enter figures from several months back and work your way forward- TIP:if you begin with current bills it will not let you enter older ones)

It is sad to see that only 121 families have signed in when there are at least 83,700 people  living in Citrus Heights.
