Here is another chance to get involved with your community, voice your opinion and be heard.
The City of Citrus Heights received an application for a project which would
result in changes to the current City Hall grounds. The initial project
submitted in July 2013 involved demolishing all of the existing buildings on
the civic center campus, except for the police services building. The July
plans showed a proposed new City Hall building, and a new three-story medical
office building at the corner of Greenback Lane and Fountain Square Drive. In
August 2013, a community workshop was held where a variety of input was given
by the community.
Due to community input received in August, significant changes have already
been made to the proposed project. The medical office building is still located
in the same general vicinity, near the corner of Fountain Square Drive and
Greenback Lane and City Hall has been removed from the project site and is
anticipated to be constructed at a new location.
The City will be hosting a community meeting on
January 15, 2014,
in the Citrus Heights Community Center (6300 Fountain Square Drive, next to
Sam's Club). This meeting will provide updated information on
BOTH
the proposed new medical office building and the proposed new City Hall.
